Focal Impulse Studio

Focal Impulse Studio is a collaboration between Photographer / PhotoShop Retouching Wizard, D.Markus Witt, and Modeling Coach / Shooting Assistant / Client Liaison, Bebe Dollface.

We provide our clients with a ‘Model for a Day Experience’ and pamper you with the same level of high quality production that a celebrity photo shoot would have; from the Pro Preparation Tips we provide ‘Backstage’, to the Professional Makeovers that make you feel like a starlet before your own Private Glamour Photo Shoot where we take care of all the details and give you the coaching you need to capture amazing photos of you rocking your own style of beauty to the fullest!  Then we give your photos a final polish and let you pick your favorite shots for Professional Retouching so your pictures rival those of the girls in the beauty magazines!

What Is Beautiful?

At Focal Impulse, we truly believe that our unique qualities are not only what make us who we are as people, but are also what make us beautiful.  D. Markus loves Bebe’s freckles, for example, and doesn’t like it when other photo-retouchers blur them out.  Cindy Crawford got turned down by multiple modeling agencies because of the mole on her face; she ended up turning it into her signature beauty mark and being one of the most famous super models of all time!  We all have unique features we might even be self-conscious about, but they are what make us beautiful.

Professional Retouching

In order to really get the true ‘Model for a Day’ experience, we recommend ordering retouches of your favorite photos from the shoot.  All the photos you see in magazines and ads of the most beautiful models in the world are retouched.  Many of our clients say the photos are the best they’ve ever seen of themselves- and then they see the retouches and are even MORE blown away!  All of our photo shoots come with at least 1 complimentary Beauty Retouch, so you can see the difference  a little retouching makes!

If you want your photos to look like they belong in a magazine, you want retouching.  All of the photos on our website have been retouched unless otherwise noted.  Professional retouching will bring out the best in you; minimizing any distractions or bulges, removing blemishes, and retouching is also a way of adding artistic stylization. We can make your retouches look very natural, like we were never there, or more ‘airbrushed’ and ‘pinup’ looking.  D. Markus is a professional retoucher and a PhotoShop Wiz, so if you also want to add a cup size, or lose a dress size, we’re happy to oblige you, too!

You can order additional retouches for individual photos, and we also offer bundle packages of retouches, as well as Calendar and Book Packages.

The Focal Impulse Experience:

Having the experience of being a model for a Focal Impulse photo shoot, and then seeing the ‘before’ and ‘after’ shots will hopefully help you realize that you’re actually just as glamorous as the celebrities you see all the time – once you have a professional hair and makeup artist, an experienced photographer and stylist that know the best lighting, posing and composition tricks to highlight your best features and angles, and professional retouching, too.
