What Makes It Boudoir Photography?

A ‘boudoir’ is a lady’s private bedroom sitting room or dressing room; the term derives from the French verb bouder, meaning “to pout”.  Boudoir photography is the art of visually capturing beautiful, sensuous and sexy photos of regular women in a bedroom setting.

The style of these shoots tend to be more romantic, soft, and intimate, with women in various bedroom attire, including lingerie, corsets, robes, semi-nude, or nude, etc.

Boudoir photo shoots are often taken at the client’s home or in a hotel for an authentic bedroom environment, but we can also create a boudoir atmosphere in a studio if the client prefers.
